Gretchen H. Peacock, D.MFT., LPC

Dr Gretchen Peacock has almost 20 years experience with A New Start and helping individuals, families and couples to better manage all of the following: 

  • Grief and Loss
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Compulsive disorders
  • Inability to express emotions
  • Self esteem issues
  • Spiritual struggles
  • Dysfunctional marriage and family systems 

Dr Peacock has a special expertise in helping people cope with loss including death, divorce, and physical or sexual trauma.  She has worked extensively with churches and pastoral staff in support of the unique issues of Spiritual life.  She has a long established relationship with Focus on the Family.  

Dr. Peacock received her doctorate degree in marriage and family therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary in California. She holds two master’s degrees, one in marriage and family ministries, and the other in secondary education.  Her undergraduate degrees are in sociology and Christian education.  She has been involved in the training of therapists at Regent University and Fuller Theological Seminary.  She served six years of clinical practice at California Christian Counseling Center, as well as two years of experience counseling within a large church in Virginia.
