Connie M. Ward, Ph.D.

A Licensed Psychologist for over 25 years, Dr. Ward received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the Ohio State University and then served on the faculty of Georgia State University as an Associate Professor and Counseling Psychologist in the university counseling center for 15 years. She was active in training therapists through the counseling center internship program. She was the director of the GSU Career Development Center and an Adjunct Associates Professor in the department of Counseling and Psychological Services at Georgia State University.

Dr. Ward's professional interests include work with adults and older adolescents experiencing: mood disorders, anxiety disorders and stress. She has special interests in: relationship issues, women's issues, multiple role issues, career counseling, workplace issues, ethnic and racial identity issues, self-esteem, conflict resolutions, couple's communication, chronic health issues, building resilience and transition issues.
